The library has an extensive collection of genealogical materials including local family histories, cemetery records, area history and other items of interest.
 

The Garnavillo Public Library has extensive historical and genealogy information about Garnavillo and Clayton County.

Most of the material in this collection was researched and complied by Arnold and Lavern Roggman.

The Garnavillo Public Library and the Garnavillo Historical Society have added historical area photos to the Iowa Heritage Digital Collection. The collection will be an ongoing project. Type "Garnavillo" in the search all box on the Iowa Heritage page to find numerous photos that have been added to this site.
