THE BOOKMARK

News from the Garnavillo Public Library

The month of March slipped by very quickly, and April has just arrived bringing the promise of warmer weather as well as the immergence of the landscape from its winter’s sleep.  For your spring reading enjoyment the library has added several new titles from the best seller lists.

Funny Girl by Nick Hornby is set in 1960’s London, and is the account of Sophie Straw as she transforms into a television starlet amid other shining and delightful characters.

In Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning.  When the train stops at a regular signal she sees something shocking.  Rachel tells the police what she knows and becomes entwined in what happens next.

Motive by Jonathan Kellerman features Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis.  A murder that appears to be case of simple revenge links to an unsolved case.  Another crime scene bears the same signature as the other two cases and leads to a serial killer on a mission.

To check out these new titles come to the library on Tuesday 10 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday 10 AM to 8 PM, Thursday 3 PM to 8 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM.   Be sure to visit the library’s website and Facebook page.  The library is a place to meet friends, read a good book, learn new things and get questions answered!
